Nissan Announces Ambitious New Concept Design

Future is a keyword within many automotive manufacturers' objectives, but few have taken it to the extent that Nissan has. At a media event last week in Los Angeles, Shiro Nakamura, Nissan's senior vice president and chief creative officer of design and brand management, unveiled a sleek flash of a yellow, red and silver four-door sedan concept: a preview of the automotive leader's new design direction.
Nakamura describes the look to have "a very strong design signature", which is certainly seen in just how full the new realization is. The teaser pictures showed a re-haul of multiple elements, including redesigned tail lights and front fascia. Its body lines have been significantly tapered, mirroring the stylish efficiency that has defined Nissan vehicles for generations - though this yet-confirmed concept car demonstrates it to a whole new level.
Nakamura notes Nissan's intention to follow up on this new aesthetic in other upcoming models. An in-the-flesh model will be available for oglers in next year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. We can't wait to see what the design team have in store.
