An electric crossover SUV which lets customers travel up to approximately 482 kilometers per charge while enjoying greater driving excitement, confidence, comfort, and connectivity.

The 100 percent electric Nissan Ariya debuted during a live stream event in Yokohama with CEO Makoto Uchida and Chief Operating Officer Ashwani Gupta doing the unveiling.

"The Ariya, a key model in Nissan's plan to roll out 10 new models in 20 months, demonstrates our commitment to meeting customer demand for crossovers with the most advanced electrified, automated and connected technologies," Gupta said. "The company expects sales of its EVs and e-POWER electrified models to be more than 1-million units a year by the end of fiscal 2023. The Ariya will play a significant role in attaining that goal."

The all-new Nissan Ariya is set to go on sale in Canada late 2021.

Dynamic Performance

Nissan has been a pioneer in the EV segment as it was the first to introduce the mass market electric vehicle with the Nissan LEAF in 2010. Built on that success and a decade of electric car production experience, the Ariya stands a good chance of jolting the electric SUV market.

The all-electric drivetrain in the Ariya combines great power delivery, charging capabilities, and range. Customers will have an option to choose from multiple configurations to fit their needs. This includes, two-wheel-drive and the new “e-4ORCE” all-wheel-drive versions, plus two different battery sizes. The e-4ORCE is a revolutionary new all-wheel control technology, which assists and empowers drivers by providing instant torque to all four wheels and delivers balanced power in any situation.

The “e” in e-4ORCE stands for Nissan’s 100% electric motor drive system and “4ORCE” refers to the vehicle’s physical power and energy.

Advanced Technology

With the available next generation ProPILOT  Assist 2.0 advanced driver assistance system, you can feel confident and less stressed while driving. Ariya will also offer e-Pedal, which allows the driver to start, accelerate, decelerate and stop using only the accelerator pedal.

Nissan Safety Shield, a suite of six advanced active safety and driver-assist technologies, comes standard across all Nissan Ariya lineup.

Ariya will also offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard features to ensure you’re fully connected.

Spacious Cabin

The flat floor in the Nissan Ariya gave the designers a chance to build a lounge-like interior which features Zero Gravity seats, provides a comforting environment for the driver and passengers.

"Nissan was a pioneer in the world of mass-market electric vehicles a decade ago with LEAF, setting the standard for affordable, mass-market electric vehicles. We expect nothing less for the new Nissan Ariya," said Gupta. "While the driving exhilaration of its acceleration and torque levels is undeniable, the Ariya offers balanced, customer-centric technology that is perfect for everyday use."
